Everyday each of us can contribute to protect the environment and save energy at same time! Everybody should be involved in reducing the environmental pollution linked to daily and workday activities.

The organization of events such as congresses, workshops and meetings, makes also an impact on the environment as for the use of paper, of plastic bags and road transport and air transport of participants.

A good answer might be use of the Internet and video conferencing to facilitate the virtual attendance to the conference.

Unfortunately, virtual conferencing isn't really practical enough for most people and they don't gain the same benefit as attending. It limits the possibility to create acommunity and a direct exchange between the participants: the main reasons for the achievement of meeting as YOCOCU

To realize a more environmentally-friendly meeting, YOCOCU 2010 will activate a parallel section during the meeting with a video conference system, only for the Wednesday day. This day is dedicated only scientific aspects.
A real contribution  of  YOCOCU to reduce the amount of waste generated, paper consumption, energy and water, to minimize greenhouse gas emissions,.
